Cataracts treatments - Two different approaches

Cataracts treatments - Two different approaches Cataracts treatments are as important as any other surgical treatment especially as it is for the eyes which can be concidered as one of the most important organs in the body. You might not have heard very much information about this yet, but the fact is that there are now alternative treatments for cataracts which don't involve invasive cataracts surgery and here we are going look deeper into the pros and cons of two very important kinds of cataracts treatments.

They say that the eyes are the 'windows of the soul' and, irrespective of whether or not you agree with that, we are certain that you will agree that vision is essential to you personally and one of our most prized possessions which all too many of us simply take for granted. So just imagine that your vision slowly starts to disappear as time passes along and your perception of our beautifully brilliant world will gradually become over cast and hazy. This is exactly what it is like for people that suffer with cataracts, that is an ailment that, bit by bit, gradually forms a cloud within the lens of the eye that obscures light from reaching the retina at the rear of the eye, producing a loss of vision which progressively worsens over time. Eventually, this will lead to not being able to see anything at all which obviously will be very distressing and therefore they will then need to look into cataracts treatments.

Your medical professional might ask you about your own medical history and look for any other eye ailments that you might have; for example, farsightedness, nearsightedness (myopia), glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration (AMD) to name but a few. Individuals with diabetes are at much greater risks of developing cataracts due to the constant infusion of sugars to the lens of the eye which speeds up the cross-linking of proteins that causes cataracts. Cataracts influence the actual lens simply by altering the particular necessary proteins as well as water construction on the inside so, if your eye looks cloudier than normal, or you can't observe things properly, then you could be developing cataracts and should go to your eye care specialist and ask for a full and thorough eye examination as soon as possible.

Cataracts treatments such as cataract surgery fall straight into two different categories

Intracapsular cataract extraction (ICCE): this particular type of cataracts treatments were developed back in the early 1980's but is rarely used today as it has mainly been superseded by extracapsular surgery which is detailed below. In this type of cataracts treatments, surgery is used to remove the entire natural eye lens, including the capsule that holds the lens in place. The procedure requires a much larger incision into the eye than is used in the more recently developed techniques. People that will need intracapsular surgery are probably not ideally suited to artificial intraocular lenses (IOLs) which are used to replace the eye's own natural lens after it has been removed during cataract surgery. If this is the case, and the patient isn't suitable for IOL's, then they will need to have new spectacles or perhaps, on the other hand, disposable contact lenses.

Extracapsular cataract extraction (ECCE): in this particular type of cataracts treatments it involves surgery where the lens of the eye is removed but the elastic capsule that covers the lens of the eye is left partially intact to allow implantation of a new intraocular lens (IOL). There are two different types of ECCE, the first type being manual extraction where the lens is removed through an incision made in the cornea or the sclera of the eye. The second, more popular method is by phacoemulsification (Phaco for short) where the lens is broken up into very small fragments inside the capsule using ultrasound energy and is then removed by a vacuum. Using this method, the conventional lens capsule around the lens should remain undamaged.

If you feel that you have got cataracts forming, then you definitely should talk to your physician at the earliest possible opportunity to secure a medical diagnosis and thorough eye examination so that you can select how you would like to commence a cure. Despite the fact that herbal antioxidants have been shown to stop cataracts, and even dissolve them, they are still not as quick and effective as surgically removing the old lens and implanting a new one. You could also opt for experimental treatments, which would make you susceptible to totally new drug treatments and medicines with potentially unwanted side-effects. Many people who are adverse to surgery opt for the brand new sort of treatment with NAC eye drops and these continue to be used very successfully by many people to help remedy cataracts and as a viable alternative cataracts treatments and an all natural alternative to invasive cataracts surgery.

Getting older occurs because of free radicals inside of your body. Free-radicals are generally fundamentally tissues gone bad and, after a while, begin to invade the body. As time passes, this will cause the consequences associated with ageing, such as cataracts. You should look for the best cataracts treatments that you can have and then decide exactly which one you think is the best option for you.

WARNING: Ethos Endymion Bright Eyes Eye Drops For Cataracts was the actual product featured in the Richard & Judy TV Trials and the Daily Mail newspaper features. Many other cataract eye drops suppliers are now trying to cash in on the phenomenal success of our Bright Eyes drops and are exploiting our features, testimonials and press coverage saying that they relate to their products which is blatantly untrue! If it does not say Ethos Endymion Bright Eyes on the Label, have Peter Aldred's Photograph and the CE Standard Mark of Approval on, as pictured above, then it is most definitely NOT the same product. Purchasing these less expensive copy-cat products may lead you to very disappointing results...
